母の家のシャワーを浴びていた文の顔色は優れない。
和真と別居して3日か、色々あったから長く感じるなと思う文。
あれ？仕事はどうしたの、と家に帰ってきた母に聞かれて、今日は休み、夕方から友達の家で食事会なんだと答える文。
あんまり遅くならないようにねと言われ、大丈夫友達の子供も来るからと文。
鏡を見た文は、冴えない顔色、ファンデーション濃いめにしよう、口紅はベージュかなと化粧を始めた。
事件のその後
文ちゃんいらっしゃいと笑顔で迎える優香に、体は大丈夫？と聞く文。
安定期に入ったしつわりもないから、どっちかと言えば体重増加が怖いかな、と笑う優香。
ケーキ買ってきちゃったと文が言うと、そうなんだ、でも少しは甘いもの食べないとねと朗らかに笑う優香。
優香随分明るくなったなと思いながら佳樹さんは？と聞くと、実家に帰ってもらってる家にいても邪魔だもん、今日は気兼ねしなくていいよと答える優香。
リビングに行くと子供たちが走り回っていて、あんたたちいい加減にしなさい！と怒る菜摘。
すでに香住、多恵も来ていて、子供達はテレビを見て、文たちは食事を楽しんでいると、菜摘があいつらはどうなったの？と言った。
樋口くんの知り合いから被害届が出されてさやかと健くんは拘置場に勾留されたまま、起訴されるかもしれないってと話す文。
保釈金を払えば在宅での取り調べになるんでしょ？と多恵が聞くと、保釈金払えるのかな、二人とも親はあてにできないからと話す香住。
さやかの実家はシングルマザーだったよね、健の家は両親がいなくておばあちゃんに育てられてた、と話す香住。
二人とも苦労してきたんだね、と優香が言うと、だからって同情はできないけどねと菜摘。
さやかちゃんどうなるのかな、と優香が言うと、示談が難しければ起訴になるだろうね、と答える多恵。
起訴されたら有罪だろうけど執行猶予はつくかもね、と香住。
前科がつくかもしれないのね、と話す優香に、それだけのことをしたのよ仕方ないわ、と多恵が言った。
香住の懺悔
菜摘と多恵が子供を連れて帰宅し、残った香住と文が家の片付けを手伝う。
文ごめんね、と香住が謝り、健くんのこと？香住が謝ることじゃ、と答える文。
それもだけど、前の飲み会の時に気になることがあるって言ったでしょう？と香住に言われ、その時の会話を振り返る文。
健と和真さんって仲良かったっけ？と聞かれ、え？健くんの話を和真から聞いたことはないけど、と答える文。
そうだよねごめん変なこと聞いて、と謝る香住。
やっぱり香住はあの時何かに気付いていたんだ、と思う文。
健が浮気相手の女のところから帰ってきた時、荷物を整理してたら高そうな時計や財布が何個か入ってたの。
おかしいって思って奴のスマホを探ったら変な画像がたくさん出てきて、和真さんとさやかの画像もあったわ、と話す香住。
そうだったんだ、と答える文に、画像は自分のスマホに転送したけど何をやってるのか怖くて健に聞けなかった。
二人のやってることを知ったら二人との関係も二人との未来も自分の手で終わらせないといけなくなる、その決断が私にはできなかった、と香住。
文から電話もらって二人のやったことを聞くまで知らんぷりしようかと、私も共犯だよね、本当にごめんなさいと泣く香住。
もういいよ香住が辛かったのはわかってる、健くんとは、と聞く文。
別れたよ、留置場を出ても会わない、さやかとも絶縁すると答える香住。
香住の春
大丈夫、私には文も菜摘も多恵も優香もいるし、それに最近気になってる人がいるんだ、と明かす香住。
えっ、そうなの！？と驚く文に、いい人代表みたいな奴でただの同僚と思ってたんだけど相談してるうちに頼りになるって思えてきて、そしたら付き合ってほしいって言われてグラついてるんだ、と香住。
そこにいいじゃん！付き合っちゃいなよ！と優香が乱入した。
香住ちゃんは昔から彼氏の世話ばかり焼いてきたんだもの、今度は甘えられる人と付き合った方がいいよ、と後押しする優香。
今まではダメンズばかりだしね、と話す香住に、同じ会社の人なら人柄わかってるし、収入も問題ない！絶対にいいよ！と優香。
でも私の性格で甘えたりできるかな、と不安に思う香住に、そんなの相手次第だよ信頼できる人になら自然に甘えられるよと優香。
優香と文が薦めるなら考えなくもないけど、と言った香住に今度紹介してね！と優香。
本当に付き合ったらね、と答えた香住が、で、文は？と聞く。
ブレーキの外し方
え？と聞き返す文に、まだ和真さんのところに帰らないの？と聞かれ、もう少し考えたいからと文。
考えるって何を？と聞かれ、私が欲しい答え、私が目指すべきなのはどんな未来なんだろう、考えれば考えるほどわからなくなる、と自問自答する文。
和真さんは隠し事をしたし、嘘もついたけどそれは文を守りたかったからでしょ？と香住。
和真さんは文ちゃんが大好きなんだよ、ずっと羨ましいって思ってたもんと優香。
ありがとう、と答えた文は、彼を好きな気持ちは変わらないし、前みたいに楽しく暮らしたい、でも割り切れない何かがブレーキをかける、そのブレーキの外し方がわからない、と思う文だった。
