大樹と会わなくなって三ヶ月が経ち、レディースクリニックに行った沙羅。
体調はどう？生理きた？と聞かれ、はいと答える沙羅。
今日は卵子保存の相談とあるけど、と聞かれ、もう30なんでそろそろ考えた方がいいのかと、と答える沙羅。
まだ全然早いわよ、と笑う瑞希になんとなく焦っちゃう、パートナーもいないし、と沙羅。
子供を産まない人生もあるわよ、それはそれで素晴らしい人生にできるよう考えたっていいんじゃない？と言われる。
動物でも飼おうかな、寂しいとぼやいた沙羅にホント？
ならあなたにお願いしたいことがあるんだけど、と瑞希が言った。
新しい家族
瑞希の家に行くと、子供の来人にあの子達のママになってくれませんか、と手を引かれて見せられたのはダンボールの中にいる子犬三匹だった。
もしかして拾ったの？と聞くと雨の日にゴミ袋に入れられて捨てられてたんだ、だから僕が持ってきちゃった、と来人。
でも来人が犬アレルギーを発症しちゃってね、うちでは一匹しか飼えないのと事情を説明する。
それで私を呼んだんですねと聞くと、無理にとは言わないわよと瑞希。
この子美人ね、この子はきっと貰い手がつく、手に抱き上げた少し不細工な犬をみて、私この子のママになると言った。
家に連れて帰り、ミルクをあげる沙羅。
名前つけなきゃ何がいいかなー、オスだからレオン！
映画のレオンみたく強くなれ！と名付けた。
それからレオンとの慌ただしい生活が始まり、ママ会社に行くからいい子で留守番してるんだよ。
といって悲しそうな鳴き声に沙羅も半泣きになりながら出社した。
定時になった瞬間ダッシュで帰宅し、レオンただいま、レオン帰ったよどこー？
と探すとベッドの下に潜り込んでいた。
おいで、淋しかった？ごめんねーと謝り、独り身の女がペットを飼うと男ができなくなるって言うけど、そうかもね、と思う沙羅。
男はいらない、もう十分、だってあれ以上の男はいないからと大樹を思い浮かべた。
大樹とリナ
大学で勉強していた大樹のところにリナから電話がくる。
私のことなんか忘れた?と聞かれ、そんなことないよ毎日リナの顔見ながら寝てるし、とポスターを見る大樹。
そっちから全然連絡してこないしさ、前に私が電話した時大樹なんて言ったか覚えてる？と聞かれ、あの人とは別れたんだと言った。
そっ、じゃあまた会いにきてよ、と言われて、今は試験中なんだ絶対留年するなって父さんに言われてるし。
と話すとわかった試験頑張って、早く医者になって私を迎えにきてよね、と言われても思わず頷いてしまう大樹。
電話を終えたリナは機嫌がよく、いい曲かけそう？と聞かれて、どうかな最近パッとしないし、スランプって訳じゃないけど、社長は？と聞くリナ。
例の新人歌手と一緒と言われて、私の口紅のCMその娘に代わるんだっけとリナ。
やっと私も自由だと笑うリナに、社長のお気に入りじゃなくなったら今までのようには行かないわよ。
と言われて、わかってるとリナ。
二番手になっても社長の束縛は変わらない、こんなものまでつけられて、と鍵付きの拘束下着をつけられているリナ。
スポットライトには当たらなくていい、歌はどこでも歌えるからと思うリナだった。
プロポーズ
大樹私と結婚して、と電話で言われた大樹はギョッとする。
そろそろいいかなってリナに言われた大樹は、そんなのまだ出来ないよと答える。
うそつき約束したよねいつか貰ったてくれるって、と言われて、俺まだ学生だし。
と答えると、貯金なら贅沢しなきゃ6年くらい二人で暮らせるくらいはある大丈夫とリナ。
そういうことじゃなくて、つい最近まで沙羅と暮らしてたのにすぐにリナに乗り換えるようなこと、リナは初恋の人だけど。
と思う大樹に医者になるまで待てない、私も幸せになりたいと訴えるリナ。
ちょっと考えさせて、と伝えると1週間待つ、1週間後、昔住んでた団地の近くに教会があったでしょ、OKならそこに来てとリナは言った。
浜辺で白いドレスを着て撮影しているリナは、これ買い取れる？と聞くともちろん大丈夫ですと言われた。
買い取ったドレスをスーツケースにしまい、バレないようにとベッド下に隠す。
ペンチで拘束下着を壊していると、大変なことが起きたわ今すぐ事務所に来いってと言われた。
リナのデリヘルの過去を暴いた記事が載るところで、差し替えたが、ネタ元はどこかわかるかリナと社長に聞かれ、いえ、とリナ。
前にもお前の補導歴を握りつぶしてやったんだぞ、ネタ元が誰か探せ、見つけたら私に報告しろ！と部下に告げる社長。
小さなパブで演奏する虹生のところに来たリナは、あんたが売った記事は揉み消してもらったよと告げる。
なら他の週刊誌にネタを持っていくよ、せいぜい小遣い稼ぎさせてもらうと酒を煽る虹生に、哀れだねとリナ。
そこにリナをつけてきた女が入ってきて、お久しぶりです虹生さんと言った。
つけてきたのか、知り合いなのか？と思うリナ。
虹生さんには是非リナの新曲を書いてほしいのです、虹生さんにリナのバックで演奏してもらいましょうよ。
と言われて、冗談じゃ、と言うリナの手の甲がつねられる。
リナにはあなたが必要なんです、と言われて本当かよ、嬉しいなぁと虹生。
乾杯しましょう、これからのことを話しましょう、と言われて、ああ、店のワインをあけようと虹生。
私が準備しますわ、リナと座っててと言いながら、見えないようにグラスに薬を入れる女。
さあ、どうぞとワインを渡すとしばらくしてリナと虹生は眠ってしまった。
社長男を見つけて眠らせました、後のことはよろしくお願いします、と電話で報告された。
その頃、テストを終えた大樹は、留年はなんとかまぬがれそうだ、リナのことどうしよう、約束は明後日だと考える。
リナのポスターを見ながら、決めたリナと結婚する、初恋を成し遂げるんだ、沙羅とのことは幻だったんだと決意する大樹だった。
別れ
教会にスーツを来た大樹が行くと、リナが待っていた。
来てくれたんだ、と言われ、約束だからと大樹。
ありがとうでも、イギリスに行くことになった、とリナ。
ごめんせっかく来てくれたけど、と謝るリナ。
社長からもういらない、と言われたリナ。
勝手に動いた事が気に入らなかった社長は、リナの醜聞は今後庇わない。
と言われてしまい、大樹や歌を好きでいてくれた人たちに過去のことは絶対に知られたくない、と思うリナ。
リナ、海外進出という理由にして日本をたちなさい、そうすれば世間はリナのことを話題にしなくなる、自然に忘れられる、これがあなたを守る唯一の方法よ。
とパスポートと旅券を渡される。
いつ帰ってくるの？と聞かれて、わからない、5年かもっとかもと答えるリナに、また勝手に消えるんだと大樹。
もう私のことは待たなくていいよ、じゃあねと別れを告げるリナ。
大樹に背中を向けながら涙を流すリナは大樹のお嫁さんになりたかったなぁと思っていた。
大樹は持ってきていた指輪の箱を握りしめて、どうして？どうして？どうしてなんだよ、と顔を手で覆った。
