刺された多喜川に駆け寄った七桜はすぐ病院に、と言うとたいした傷じゃない、と七桜を押しのける多喜川。
これであなたを警察に突き出せる、罪という名の地獄に道連れにできる、と笑う多喜川。
やっぱりあんたが父を殺したんだな、と椿が聞くと、七桜は首を横に振り、そうじゃない、多喜川さんは殺してないと多喜川の顔を見ていった七桜。
そうですよね多喜川さんは何もやってない、と七桜が言うと、僕がやったんだ、と動揺する多喜川。
目を見て言ってください本当のことなら私の目を見て。
と言いながら多喜川の嘘を見破った七桜は、答えは一つしかない。
と思っていると、多喜川美由紀、あなたの母親、美由紀さんが私をちゃんと殺してくれればこんなことにならなかったのよ、と女将が言った。
なんだって、と驚く多喜川に、いつも周りに流されて一人では何もできない人、だから背中を押してあげたのと笑う女将。
帰ってください、帰って、と病室にいる女将に言った美由紀に、多喜川家のお嬢様が自殺なんてしちゃダメよ、それじゃ秀幸さんの心は戻ってこないわ、と告げる。
私が憎い？だったら消せばいいのよと包丁を差し出した。
待ってるだけじゃ幸せな日々は戻ってこない、家族のために行動しなくちゃ、明日の夜秀幸さんがまた会いにきてくれるの。
彼すごく優しく愛してくれるのよ、と耳打ちする女将。
ショックを受ける美由紀に、そうだ、ちゃんと手袋をして指紋がつかないようにね、と言って病室を出て行った。
多喜川の怒り
俺があの日お父様の部屋で見たのは、とその時の事を鮮明に思い出した椿の思い出の中には、フードを被った美由紀が立っていた。
お母さんまだ戻ってないの？お母さん、と病室に来た多喜川の後ろで返り血で服を汚した美由紀が入ってきて、ごめんなさいと頭を抱えて多喜川に謝った。
あの夜美由紀さんがくるのをずっと待っていたのに、横で寝ている椿に百合子がやったと言い残して私が死ねば百合子は殺人者。
樹さんとは一緒になれない、そうよ私が完璧にお膳立てしてあげたのに、なのに私と樹さんを間違えるなんて本当に役立たずな女！と罵る女将。
それを聞いていた多喜川は落ちていた刃物を拾うと望み通り殺してやる！と女将に襲いかかる。
やめてやめてください多喜川さん！と七桜が止めた。
どうして止めるんだこの人はたくさんの人の心を殺した、君だってずっとそうしたかったんだろう、この人がいなくなればみんな幸せになれる！と多喜川。
動こうとした椿に気づいて動くな！と鋭い声で制止する多喜川。
その人が死んでも幸せにはなれない、多喜川さんが傷付くだけです、心が殺されて新しい悲しみと怒りが生まれるだけ、と七桜。
死にたくなるくらい辛かった時、多喜川さんにたくさん救われた、あの時差し伸べてくれた手、あの温かい手で人を傷つけないでください。
多喜川さんに人殺しになってほしくない、お母さんもそう思ってます！と訴える七桜。
真実を隠していた人の思い
違うわ、美由紀さんが望んでいたのは私の死よ、心底私を殺したかったのよ、と女将に言われ、カッとなった多喜川。
多喜川さん！と七桜が後ろから抱きつき、多喜川の振り下ろしたナイフは女将の顔の横に突き立てられる。
私これからも多喜川さんに御菓子を作りたい、おいしいって食べてもらいたいです、ずっと、と涙する七桜。
大丈夫、大丈夫だよお母さん、と言いながら母の手を洗い、絶対僕が守るから、と母を抱きしめる過去の多喜川。
涙を流した多喜川は、ごめん守ってあげられなくて、ごめん、と謝る。
やっとたどり着いた、と多喜川を抱きしめる七桜。
その様子を深妙な面持ちで見ていた椿は、座り込む女将に朝になったら警察に行くと告げた。
多喜川さんを病院に連れて行こう、店の車で行くのが早い、山口さんに頼んでくれ、と言われた七桜は女将がいないことに気づいた。
彷徨う女将
樹さん、どこ、どこにいるの、と夜道をふらふら歩く女将。
もうどこにもいくところがないの、と歩く女将の前で鳴り響く踏切の音。
踏切のバーの向こうで小さな椿を抱っこして微笑む樹を見つける女将。
樹さん！椿！と嬉しそうな顔の女将は踏切の中に立ち入り、そんなところにいたの、待ってすぐそっちに行くわ、樹さん！と手を伸ばす。
しかし、樹達の姿はフッと消えてしまい、ああ、そうなのこれが私への罰なのね、と顔を上げた女将の前に電車が迫っていた。
これでもう終わりと目を閉じた時、後ろから来た椿に背中を強く押される。
驚く女将が線路の外に転がり、椿に電車が迫る中、樹の言葉が思い出された。
お願いだ椿、今日子を守ってやってほしい、と。
